From the massive marble columns supporting a ceiling covered in intricate patterns to the expansive courtyard with its similarly designed floral patterns, the Grand Mosque was built with great care as a grand spectacle. Even though the mosque is situated near a bustling highway, the space is largely peaceful, and the sound of the city's business is muted to a dull hum in the background.
